He was a Pre-Socratic Greek philosopher in the native city of Ephesus. He was called "The Obscure" and the "Weeping Philosopher" . He regards himself as a pioneer of wisdom . He was famous for his insistence on ever-present  change  as being the fundamental essence of the  universe . He believe that the universe is an ever living fire or in a constant state of flux. A Greek philosopher of Ephesus who was born in 530BCE and died in 480BCE, He is remembered for his cosmology, In Which is fire play the basic material of the universe.
